Another new ps3 games to be release on the second quarter of 2008. The forthcoming game from the Kojima Productions comes the new ps3 game series: "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots". The game was designed with the motto, "No Place to Hide!"The plot was set in year 2014, five years to be exact after the incident in Manhattan (from MGS2). It was said to portrays a world wherein restrictions of military on foreign land has been eased in order to support the needs of Private Military Companies (PMCs) so that they can fight proxy wars for their own purposes. Nanotechnology has become important, both to strengthen the capacity and enforce loyalty of mercenaries. The five largest of these SMP are owned by one parent company called Outer Haven, which is operated by Liquid Ocelot. Amasser an army whose size rivals that of the United States, liquid prepares to launch an armed insurrection. With the world once again in crisis, the rapid aging of Solid Snake and disillusioned is deployed in the Middle East by Roy Campbell at the end of liquids. Metal Gear Solid 4 will be held in 5 locations around the world. So far, three locations were revealed: the Middle East, South America, and somewhere in Eastern Europe.
Top Game? Are you kidding? I was SO disappointed in the eternally long cut scenes that happened seemingly every 5 minutes, the erratic plot jumps...It was like watching a once great athlete come out of retirement...and epically fail on his first game...on live TV. I am grateful I bought it used, so I didn't waste $50 on this horrible game. All the great graphics don't make up for vapid plotlines and stupid dialogue.

This game IS the top game. Nothing else in the current Playstation 3 line-up comes close to Metal Gear Solid 4. It's intricate game play and breath-taking graphics, along with an interesting and well written story. I agree to a point that having Big Boss and Zero alive at the end to wrap everything up was a bit much, other then that though, this game was top notch.

This game is Amazing. it combines Components of my two favorite shoot 'em up game(s): Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 1,2, & 3, and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (1&2). silent and stealthy at one part, then the next you're blasting away at a genetically modified enemy with an RPG. I found the Storyline to be extremely interesting, though, i do agree that Big Boss and Zero at the end weren't needed. I haven't even tried MGO (Metal Gear Online) yet, but i'm sure i'm not in for a disappointment. the very nice part about this game is that the flexibility of playing style is huge; you can run around with a heavy LMG, blasting everything in sight, or you can stick to the shadows, lurk around and eliminate your targets quietly. the Cutscenes were long, yes, but there is always that opportunity (forgive me if i misspelled that) to skip them. My Favorite Game, second only to Forza Motorsports, but that is in an entirely different Genre: Sport. All in all, well rounded game. 10 Out of 10!
